Over the years, what strategies has World Security employed to enhance its status in the UAE?

In order to enhance our status in the UAE, we are constantly diversifying our business and analysing our customers’ needs. We have always focused on our primary goal of enabling customers’ success and ensuring their well-being through customised manpower solutions and services that are compliant with relevant government regulations. Our customer-oriented approach has strengthened our clients’ trust in us, enabling our transition from a leading security services provider to a key 360-degree solutions provider. Our strategy proved to be successful as our manpower base saw a significant increase to 7,000 to date.

As a leading security solutions pro- vider in the region, what tactics did you adapt to keep pace with the advancing technologies in trade, commerce and logistics?

Headquartered in Dubai, our aim is to ensure that we provide solutions that are aligned with the requirements of clients’ operations, not only in Jafza or the UAE, but also across the globe. Our skilled and reliable teams add immense value, ensuring high-quality services to our customers. Additionally, our staff is equipped with smart tools developed in collaboration with our partners to make security operations as efficient as possible. We also make use of drones to carry out operations in areas where we have permission to do so. In line with our aim of optimising the workflow of the security solutions, we have developed incident management systems and applications that allow customers to report incidents and have time-efficient solutions provided instantly.

How has being in Jafza helped you ensure that your solutions are well received and implemented by your clients?

As of today, in terms of security, we are ranked amongst the top five UAE companies. Our presence in Jafza has gained us the reputation of being the most preferred service provider for ports and logistics companies. Our location has also worked in our favour because most companies opt for service providers within close proximity. This helped us significantly since the onset of the pandemic and during the resulting travel restrictions. Being within the same bubble as our clients helped us continue business within the free zone itself. Moreover, being a DP World company increased our credibility and reliability amongst our clients.

What is your usual approach to developing the ideal security solution for your clients?

People, process and technology form the core of our operations. As service providers, we are obligated to add value to our customers, by providing beneficial services. We firmly believe in going the extra mile for our clients. This approach helps us stand out and stay ahead of competition. As part of our solution designing process, we perform site assessments, study the operations being executed by the customer, and accordingly provide cost-efficient solutions that assist them in carrying out smooth and efficient operations promptly.

Would you like to shed some light on your recent achievements?

We believe in delivering a wide range of advanced services to our clients and have proved our competence with services such as AYDI Manpower Solutions and Soft Services – Facilities Management (FM). Maintaining optimum safety while conforming to local authorities’ requirements has been our sole purpose. We invested heavily in providing top-notch services by well-trained employees, capable of handling state-of-the-art machinery, to provide cleaning and disinfection services, sterilisation, housekeeping and other outsourced services for over 30 million sq metres and have successfully disinfected over 100k vehicles, considering the increasing demand for cleaning and disinfection post covid.

Some of our recently signed noteworthy pro- jects include providing security manpower to Citymax Hotel in Dubai and the Northern Emir- ates. Other projects include deploying security personnel at luxury retailer Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons’ outlets in Dubai and Abu Dhabi malls and providing comprehensive security servic- es including manpower and access systems for the Department of Finance in Dubai. We are also responsible for guarding the iconic Mohammed Bin Rashid Library located in Al Jaddaf.

Can you provide details on your participation in the ongoing Expo 2020?

Expo 2020 is a massive event for the business fraternity in the country and around the world. We believe it is an ideal platform to work with top-notch management and get a peek into the newest innovations. We are confident that our pavilion, with our security systems on display, will serve as our gateway to global expansion. We have also been contracted to control all the gates of the event venue, so we are talking about over 1,200 people offering their services at any point in time. We have also partnered with various clients to fulfil the manpower and facility requirements for individual pavilions to ensure smooth handling of operations during the event. Additionally, over 80 terminals in the world are operated by DP World with each of them needing security solutions and services, and we need to step up to provide those solutions and services to them. I am optimistic that we will be able to successfully deliver what is expected from us all through the ongoing Expo 2020.
