
As part of its support to the UAE government’s Emiratisation drive, DP World, UAE Region presented a range of programs at careers UAE 2019, the country’s leading recruitment, training and education exhibition, targeting young Emiratis aged between 16 and 35 years

Ta’heel sponsorship programme
Aimed at high school students with a minimum score of 85% and good proficiency in English language skills, the Ta’heel Sponsorship Programme offers further study opportunities within the field of Marine Pilot and Vessel Traffic Management. The programme is for a total duration of three years, with the trainees required to work for DP World for a minimum period of six years. Students are paid a monthly stipend and on completion of the programme, and serving DP World for two years, they are entitled to a cash reward. Also within Ta’heel, there is an Undergraduate Programme in the Engineering Division, where students receive job development and exposure to specific streams.
The Bedaya summer programme
Designed for UAE national students currently studying in high school (grades 10, 11 and 12) or university. They are given a monthly stipend and a certificate upon completion.
The Ruwad training programme
This programme helps DP World, UAE Region support and encourage the training and development of fresh graduates within diverse business units. It is intended for UAE nationals with less than two years of work experience and educational qualifications of Higher Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree, High School Certificate, or below high school.
The Tumoohi programme
The programme offers a unique opportunity for new UAE national university graduates to cultivate their skills and gain experience that will assist them in the employment market. This programme has been initiated by Jafza together with the involvement of multinational companies operating inside the free zone, including other organisations such as Expo 2020, Al Tamimi & Co., NAFFCO, Danube, ABB, Maersk, Red Events, Eros and Imdaad. Indeed, as part of its continuing efforts to contribute to and support Emirati society, Jafza has recently celebrated the graduation of the second batch of students from its Tumoohi training programme.
